Former project co-ordinator Bolduc
responsible for group’s strategic development

The board of directors of Green Marine Management Corporation has announced the appointment of David Bolduc to the position of executive director. Mr. Bolduc had been working as the group’s project co-ordinator.
Green Marine Management Corporation was formed in 2008 to oversee the development and management of the Green Marine Environmental Program.
As executive director, Mr. Bolduc will be responsible for all aspects of the administration and strategic development of Green Marine and provide support to the Green Marine CEO steering committee and the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes environment committees.
“Mr. Bolduc has played an instrumental role in developing the Green Marine Environmental Program since its launch in late 2007 and has demonstrated excellent skills in project management,” said Ray Johnston, chairman of Green Marine Management Corporation. “This is an important step forward for Green Marine that will strengthen the management of the program and ensure that our strategic goals are achieved.”
Mr. Bolduc joined SODES – the St. Lawrence Economic Development Council – in 2006 and has served as project co-ordinator for Green Marine since 2008.
Mr. Bolduc has a bachelor of international studies from York University in Toronto and a master in international relations from Laval University in Quebec City.
Green Marine is a voluntary program aimed at demonstrating and communicating the maritime industry’s commitment to addressing a number of key environmental issues facing industry stakeholders.
Nine marine industry associations representing more than 500 member companies in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence waterway in Canada and the United States are participating in Green
Marine. The associations are the American Great Lakes Ports Association, Association of Canadian Port Authorities, Canadian Shipowners Association, Chamber of Marine Commerce, Ontario Marine Transportation Forum, Shipping Federation of Canada, St. Lawrence Economic Development Council, St. Lawrence Shipoperators Association and U.S. Great Lakes Shipping Association.
